Clnical Analysis of Intracranial Meningioma.

ABSTRACT
Clinical analysis of 51 surgically treated patients with intracranial meningiomas was made in department of neurosurgery of Hanyang University Hospital. The data of the initial surgery extended over a 5-year period from January, 1985 to January 1990. The total removal of tumor was done in 76.5% of patients and the tumor of convexity, parasagittal/falx, ventricular site were more excellent than other site in total removal rate. One patient received post-operative radiotherapy. The follow-up result above Good was 80.4% and convexity, parasagittal/falx, ventricular were more higher than other site in follow-up result. Recurrence rate was 7.7% in totally removed cases, 25% in partially removed cases and the mean duration period of recurrence was 24.2 months. The postoperative mortality rate was 9.8%.
