Illustrative case of unilateral augmented pedicle screw fixation for foraminal stenosis. Preoperative MRI (upper left) shows left L5 nerve root impingement in the intervertebral foramen by the protruded disc. The pedicle screw is inserted into the L5 vertebra after injection of PMMA cement. Cement is being injected into the S1 vertebra for augmentation (upper right).
