Some morphological and hemodynamic parameters were investigated in relation to the middle cerebral bifurcation aneurysm rupture. In this study, authors concluded that Dmax to dome width (D/W) and energy loss (EL) could be the most two favorable factors in the prediction of aneurysm rupture.
The left figures showed two cases of unruptured aneurysm and the right figures showed two ruptured aneurysm cases. From top to bottom, refined morphological modelling, hemodynamic simulations, the distribution of wall shear stress (WSS), and the percentage of low WSS area were presented.
