| Traumatic Intervertebral Disc Herniation Associated with Subluxation at the T1-T2 Level: Case Report. |

| ABSTRACT |
|
The authors report a case of traumatic first thoracic disc herniation associated with subluxation due to vehicle accidents in a 28-year-old woman. Magnetic resonance images revealed a fracture of the first thoracic vertebral body, posterior dislocation of T1 on T2 and a herniated intervertebral disc at T1-T2 disc space. The patient underwent excision of the protruded and migrated disc, partial corpectomy of T1 and T2 body and bone graft of the resected rib through transthoracic transpleural thoracotomy.
The postoperative course was excellent. The paraparesis and paresthesia were fully recovered. |
