Clnical Analysis of Intracranial Meningioma. |

ABSTRACT |
Clinical analysis of 51 surgically treated patients with intracranial meningiomas was made in department of neurosurgery of Hanyang University Hospital. The data of the initial surgery extended over a 5-year period from January, 1985 to January 1990. The total removal of tumor was done in 76.5% of patients and the tumor of convexity, parasagittal/falx, ventricular site were more excellent than other site in total removal rate. One patient received post-operative radiotherapy. The follow-up result above Good was 80.4% and convexity, parasagittal/falx, ventricular were more higher than other site in follow-up result. Recurrence rate was 7.7% in totally removed cases, 25% in partially removed cases and the mean duration period of recurrence was 24.2 months. The postoperative mortality rate was 9.8%. |
