ABSTRACT |
The authors analyzed the computed tomography(CT) findings in 100 patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH) resulting from an aneurysm. In 64 patients, CT demonstrated blood in the subarachnoid, intracerebral or ventricular spaces.
Interhemispheric, bifrontal bleeding and septal-caval hematoma were seen after rupture of an anterior communicating artery aneurysm. Unilateral sylvian fissure hematoma occurred with a middle cerebral artery aneurysm or internal carotid-posterior communicating artery aneurysm. CT was reliable in identifying infarction, edema, localized hematoma, hydrocephalus or rebleeding in patients with SAH.
In 13 patients, contrast CT showd the aneurismal sac. |
