ABSTRACT
Acute renal failure is a grave complication in patients with intracranial lesions such as severe head injuries, intracranial hemorrhage, and space occupying lesions. Experimental and clinical data have suggested that altered renal function can be occured by lesions of the brain through a mechanism of renal vasoconstriction. Recently we experienced three cases of acute renal failure in one patient with intracerebral hematoma and two patients with cerebral contusion. So we discussed the significance of this relationship.
